I closed my eyes, and listened to my inner voice,
I looked down and pushed myself to the wall,
I looked up and found that the sky wasn’t so far,
I realized that it can’t leave a mark or a scar,
That it’s not as impossible as it seems,
Then I knew, fear can only be in our dreams.

It shadowed the light with all its might,
I wanted to but had no power to fight,
I listened to my heart, it said I had one thing,
A hope to overcome, a very powerful beam,
Then I knew, fear can only be in our dreams.

I woke up in the middle of night,
And I was shivering in fright,
I searched but found no monsters; no demons,
I found nothing that led me to screams,
Then I knew, fear can only be in our dreams.

It is not death or oblivion which you should fear,
Everyone’s going to die; an enemy or a dear,
If you want to fear then what you should fear is you
Because that’s the strongest force out there,
Known to all, understood by few.
